Camp Smith Gathering
gath·er·ing /ˈɡaT͟H(ə)riNG/ noun - an assembly or meeting, especially a social or festive one or one held for a specific purpose.
Once a year in June, family members and their spouses and partners convene at what we call the Smith Family Gathering, an event planned and hosted by the Family Council. We are a very large family so this is a great way to meet and get to know each other. There is always time for fun, and we often spend some time strengthening our family with education and brainstorming for the future. It is the Family Council’s hope that families will bring their young children to the gathering so they can grow up knowing their Smith Family cousins, establishing and building connections to each other and the family as engaged shareholders and future leaders of the family and its businesses.
